Discover the Deer Park
of Copenhagen

English-speaking tour of the Deer Park: a green escape just 15 km from the capital. A guided visit in English, led by a passionate local.

All our guided tours are PRIVATE and led by professional guides with a passion for history, gastronomy, literature and more.

Located to the north of Copenhagen, the park was originally known as Bøgeskov and dates back to the year 1231. The Deer Park (Dyrehaven) itself was established in 1669 by King Frederik III, among other things, as a royal hunting ground.

Covering 1,250 hectares of woodland, clearings, meadows and gentle hills, it is also home to the Hermitage Palace (Eremitageslottet).
WILDLIFE: around 300 red deer, 1,600 fallow deer, 100 sika deer, as well as squirrels and more.
FLORA: richly diverse. A true paradise for photography enthusiasts.
