We’ll immerse you in the fascinating history of Copenhagen, a city where every street tells a story! On this tour, we’ll explore the iconic landmarks that have shaped the Danish capital.
All our guided tours are PRIVATE and led by professional guides with a passion for history, gastronomy, literature and more.
This walk will serve as a backdrop to explore Copenhagen while touching on key aspects of Danish society: language, culture, education, healthcare, flexicurity, immigration policy, recent developments in the city, the culture of compromise, business management, and horizontal organisational structures...
The itinerary will showcase the capital’s iconic buildings, both historical and contemporary (National Bank designed by Arne Jacobsen, buildings by Henning Larsen and Lundgaard & Tranberg, gems of Nordic architecture…).
The legacy of the builder-king Christian IV will not be forgotten, and we’ll comment on the city’s iconic sites: the Royal Square, the old Opera House, Nyhavn, the Stock Exchange, Christiansborg, and the Christianshavn district (literally “Christian’s Harbour”). Located on a small island between a sea inlet and a canal, it’s a charming little port with canals, old boats, and cozy cafés.
We’ll explore the city’s historic centre, peek under archways, wander into hidden courtyards, and stroll through one of Copenhagen’s most beautiful parks. We’ll help you experience the charm of life in Denmark, its unique features, and the cultural differences that set it apart.
Interested in Copenhagen’s museums? We’ll be sure to point them out along the way and tell you all about them.
We’ll finish at the entrance to Christiania, the self-proclaimed “free city,” which functions as a self-managed community.
