Christiansborg Palace and its Grounds

Discover Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen – a symbol of Danish power – on a private guided tour.

All our guided tours are PRIVATE and led by professional guides with a passion for history, gastronomy, literature and more.

The impressive Christiansborg Palace is located in the very heart of Copenhagen, on the islet of Slotsholmen, also known as the “Islet of Power” since it has housed the central administration of the country for eight centuries.

A royal residence until 1794, it now hosts the key institutions of the Danish state: Parliament, the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister’s office, and the Royal Reception Rooms still used by the Monarchy for official events.

What can you see at Christiansborg Palace?

The magnificent Royal Apartments, of course, including the vast Gobelins Hall used for state receptions and gala dinners, as well as the ruins of four earlier castles, the grand royal kitchens, and the Royal Stables, home to an impressive collection of historic carriages and the Crown’s horses, still in service for the Royal Guard.

This tour is perfectly suited for children.
